Description & Coverage
Description:

Our planet is facing the prospect of environmental catastrophe, resulting from decades of reckless human activities. The ongoing degradation of the Earth's natural resources, climate change, pollution, and habitat destruction have created an urgent global crisis. The responsibility for addressing these challenges has been a significant issue since the 1972 International Conference on Human Environment in Sweden. This book reveals the pivotal role women are playing as environmental stewards, providing a ray of hope in the face of environmental turmoil. Their unwavering commitment to energy conservation, responsible waste management, and the preservation of ecological parks and wildlife is both inspiring and transformative.

Recommended for scholars seeking actionable solutions, Opportunities and Challenges for Women Leaders in Environmental Management provides a comprehensive guide to understanding and fostering environmental preservation. Reviews & Statements

Opportunities and Challenges for Women Leaders in Environmental Management highlights the growing capacity of women in this field. However, it notes a concerning trend where the utilization of local knowledge is on the decline. Factors such as social ties, mutual trust, social cohesion, and social-ecological resilience are diminishing. To address these issues, it is recommended that disaster-intense practical and research components be incorporated into both the environmental management curriculum and the social science curriculum
