Intern Positions

IGI Global is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to work as part-time (flexible hours, no more than 20 hours per week) interns for multiple departments within our company.

Qualified candidates should have high attention to detail, be able to meet established deadlines, and work well independently. All interns will need to possess excellent written and verbal skills.

We welcome experience in the following areas: copy editing and proofreading, online research, data mining, human resource management, public relations, marketing, graphic design, programming, accounting and finance, and project management.

Education Required: Earned (or in the process) bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Accounting, Business Administration, Communications and Journalism, Computer Science, English, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related areas is required.

Staff Accountant

IGI Global is seeking an experienced individual to assist the company in its accounting department. The individual should possess strong organizational, communication skills (written and verbal), and be able to multi-task. The qualified candidate should have 2+ years of hands-on experience in Accounting/bookkeeping.

Preferred Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Order processing and accounting data entry
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Bank and other account reconciliations
  • Cash flow management and collections
  • Payroll processing
  • And other accounting/bookkeeping tasks

Education: Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting or a related area is preferred. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.

Editorial Assistant

IGI Global is seeking a motivated and energetic individual with strong communication, organizational, and research skills to fill a full-time, salaried position as an Editorial Assistant. The Editorial Assistant provides support in a variety of editorial and administrative tasks including ongoing composition of communications targeting prospective authors and editors, online research, and file organization. Qualified candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and work well independently. Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred. Publishing, copy editing, and online research experience is a plus, but not required.

Administrative Assistant

IGI Global is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant who will perform a wide range of activities. This individual will be responsible for daily administrative tasks including, but not limited to: supporting special projects, composing written communications, and assisting with daily tasks in support of office organization. Candidate should be able to multi-task, meet established deadlines, and have strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), administrative, and computer skills.
