Description & Coverage
Description:

The field of international relations provides an understanding of power dynamics, competition, and the establishment of peace and partnerships in the global system after the First World War. The international system is influenced by its various actors' behaviour, which constantly evolves due to structural shifts. Although the bipolar hegemonic system of the Cold War ended in the 1990s following the two world wars, the system changed again with new threats and the search for security. In this respect, the 1990s were a period of the Cold War shaped by new threat perceptions and conflict areas. This book will examine the ever-changing landscape of the 21st century and the pivotal dynamics that shape international relations. Our exploration will extend beyond the surface level, delving into the origins, ramifications, and management strategies of crises and wars. Furthermore, we will focus on today's modern and emerging threats, analyzing the international community's efforts to combat these dangers and forecasting potential scenarios. Ultimately, our overarching objective is to comprehensively understand the intricate nature of global crises and the evolution of security concepts.
