Gold OA Under the Gold Open Access model (under a CC BY 4.0 licensing agreement) there is a small open access Chapter Processing Charge (CPC) of US $500 that is requested to be paid by the author directly to the publisher. This fee is customary in open access publishing to ensure that the overhead that goes into producing the work can be covered in the absence of paywalls and subscriptions. Please note that authors will not be asked to provide payment of the CPC fee until AFTER their manuscript has gone through the full double-blind peer review process and the Editor-in-Chief (at the Editor-in-Chief’s discretion) has decided to accept the manuscript based on the results of the double-blind peer review process. Please note that there is absolutely NO correlation between the CPC being paid by the author and the results of review process outcomes.
Only original, previously unpublished contributions are currently being considered for this encyclopedia.
