Over the past few years there is no doubt that with political strife, economic turmoil, and a global pandemic, society has been drastically affected and forced to accommodate a lot of change. Many were forced to stay at home and supply chain complications heavily impacted society and the world’s well-being. More than ever, these last few years have demonstrated how influential and important human connectivity, information science, and technology is across the globe.
IGI Global is keen on publishing openly accessible research that provides comprehensive coverage on the most important issues, concepts, and trends pertaining to technological advancements and information management. That is why IGI Global is pleased to announce that the sixth edition of the highly-regarded
Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology, will be published under gold open access, making the content free to access by researchers all over the world.
Content is set to start releasing in early 2023.
The work is a collective of scholars throughout the world and will be instrumental in providing researchers, students, and professionals access to the latest research findings and knowledge within a variety of fields. As manuscripts undergo the double-blind peer review process, if accepted for publication, they are then released on IGI Global’s website and database platform as well as distributed to repositories and platforms worldwide in a continuous publication frequency. Gold Open Access model (under a CC BY 4.0 licensing agreement) there is a small open access Chapter Processing Charge (CPC) of US $500 that is requested to be paid by the author directly to the publisher. This fee is customary in open access publishing to ensure that the overhead that goes into producing the work can be covered in the absence of paywalls and subscriptions. Please note that authors
will not be asked to provide payment of the CPC fee until
AFTER their manuscript has gone through the full double-blind peer review process and the Editor-in-Chief (at the Editor-in-Chief’s discretion) has decided to accept the manuscript based on the results of the double-blind peer review process.
Please note that there is absolutely NO correlation between the CPC being paid by the author and the results of review process outcomes.Only original, previously unpublished contributions are currently being considered for this encyclopedia.
