Nature is the beautiful gift to the mankind and it is the responsibility of the populace of this universe to conserve it for the future generation. The resources are created for utilizing and channelizing into productive entities but presently in this era of technology the natural resources are exploited to greater extent without restoration. The voices are raised in favour of environmental conservation but the actions towards the mitigation of environmental calamities are not significant as the stability of the ecosystem is intervened by several factors and majority of the contribution is made by the human race. It is high time for the citizens of each nation and as the whole world to act immediately to avoid the environmental disasters. The reflection of environmental catastrophe is witnessed in these days and the futuristic predictions on environmental degradation has elevated the environmental concerns amidst many environmentalists which has drawn the attention of several volunteers and also this has paved the way for the conceptualization of citizen science. (Davi et al.,2017)

The environment has to be protected from the hurdles and obstacles that interludes the progression of the bio diversity and the sustenance of species. Many living organisms are becoming exotic and endangered and the changing environmental setup are becoming a threat to many species. (Blaney.,2016) A special focus has to be laid towards the conservatism but on profound examination, it is indeed a herculean task for the governments and non-governmental organizations, but to accomplish such kind of tasks, the volunteers and environmental well-wishers are made to involve in collection and analysis of data pertaining to environmental protection and monitoring and it is collectively called as citizen science. The observational framework for environment in United Kingdom has stated the dynamics of citizen science in vivid manner. (Loiselle et al 2016) Participation in environmental conservation is quite natural but collecting data and making analysis by the volunteers is a new concept and that is the hidden agenda of citizen science.
