Human life is closely related to the environment, but with the fast development of the urbanization and the industrialization, and the rapid increase in energy consumption in China, it has caused serious pollution to the environment and it has a serious impact on people's life and work. In order to control the environmental pollution and protect the environment better, the Chinese government has taken and implemented a series of measures, Rao, W. (2019) describs the measures taken by China to protect the environment. Due to Chinese backward technical level of environmental monitoring in China, it has seriously hindered the smooth progress of environmental protection in China, Lianyong, Q. (2019) identifies the importance of advanced monitoring tools for environmental protection. In the past few years, with the progress and development of technology and the gradual increase of the people's living standards, people have a growing awareness of the environment, Junlian, W., & Ranli, D. (2019) point out the people's awareness of environmental protection is increasing. The traditional ways and means of environmental monitoring are far from meeting the development requirements of the contemporary society, Yunxia, L. (2019) points out the current deficiencies in environmental monitoring such as low speed, less function. Therefore, we propose an intelligent environment monitoring system which integrates intelligent, real-time, humanized and other functions.
Multi-sensor data fusion is a comprehensive processing of information from multiple sensors, so as to draw a more accurate and reliable conclusion. The purpose of data fusion is to deduce more information through data combination, rather than any individual elements in the input information, and to obtain the results of the best synergy, that is, taking advantage of the common or joint operation of multiple sensors to improve the effectiveness of the sensor system and eliminate the limitations of a single or a small number of sensors. It has been widely used in the financial system, process monitoring, drug inspection, industrial robot, remote sensing, patient care system, the avoidance of ship collision and traffic control system. Peng, Z. (2015) explains the definition, advantages, application and the significance in intelligent monitoring system of multi-sensor data fusion technology.
Applying the multi-sensor data fusion technology to the intelligent environmental monitoring system reasonably, using multiple or more sensors to collect the environmental parameters, and then processing the collected data, the disadvantages of the existing environmental monitoring system can be effectively avoided, the robustness and reliability of the system can be improved, the accuracy of the data can be guaranteed, and the performance of the intelligent environmental monitoring system can be improved.
The intelligent environmental monitoring system based on multi-sensor data fusion technology can also be applied to areas with high environmental requirements, and reasonable networking can be designed according to the actual requirements of monitoring places. Therefore, the application of multi-sensor data fusion technology to the intelligent environmental monitoring system has great application value and guiding significance in engineering application, academic research and so on. (2015) point out the environmental monitoring can be used in the traffic monitoring.
