Sisse Siggaard Jensen

Sisse Siggaard Jensen is an associate professor in Net Media at the Department of Communication Studies, Roskilde University, Denmark. Her recent research projects are interdisciplinary integrating research on areas such as reflective practices and designing in 3D virtual worlds; social interaction and communication in new media; knowledge sharing and management in practice, e.g. in e-learning and multimedia business. She has been studying and practicing net based education for more than 15 years at various Danish universities and in several research projects: ‘Reflective Practices When Face-to-Interface’, ‘Knowledge and Management in IT firms’, ‘The 3D Agora-world’ EU project. Current research project: ‘Actors and Avatars Communicating in Virtual Worlds’. Visual anthropology and video-ethnography inspires her empirical research.
