Sharipah Ruzaina Syed-Aris

Sharipah Syed-Aris is an Assoc. Prof Ts Dr Sharipah Ruzaina Syed Aris is currently the Dean at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She received her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry in 1995 from the University of Malaya. Her passion and deep interest in the value of education have led her to pursue her master’s and PhD in Chemistry Education at the same alma mater. She was a director at the Curriculum Affairs Unit, Academic Affairs Division, at UiTM from 2015 to 2019 with 11 years of experience in curriculum development. Apart from her contribution as an academic administrator and educator, she also participated and contributed at national level, as a member of technical committee for NOBLe (Noble Outcome Based Learning), Strategic Committee for 2U2i industry mode, Strategic Committee of Service-Learning Malaysia-University for Society (SULAM) and Task Force for 4.0 Educators. DR Sharipah Ruzaina has conducted 3 research projects for the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, namely on the study of Outcome-Based Education, the impact of the mode industry academic program, and the impact of the My3S instrument on students. Her vast experience in curriculum development and hybrid programmes has made her a frequently invited speaker at workshops and conferences. She is also recognised by the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT) as a professional technologist in the field of Chemical Technology and is currently a panel member of the MBOT and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).
