Karen Cordovil

Karen Cordovil graduated in Nutrition from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ/2006). She completed the Multiprofessional Residency in Family Health at the National School of Public Health Sergio Arouca of Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (ENSP/FIOCRUZ). She received a Master of Science from UERJ (2016). She has experience in Nutrition in Hematology, having more than 12 years of studies dedicated to Nutrition and Sickle Cell Disease. She made a career as a Public Servant at the Health Foundation (FS/SES/RJ) in the State Institute of Hematology Arthur Siqueira Cavalcanti (HEMORIO/SES/RJ). She also participated as Preceptor of the Program Supervised Internship in Clinical Nutrition at HEMORIO for undergraduate students in Nutrition. Currently, Karen Cordovil is an Excellence Program Scholar Academic (PROEX/CAPES) and Doctoral Student of the Postgraduate Program in Epidemiology at the ENSP/FIOCRUZ. In 2008, Karen received the award for the best scientific work in the postgraduate course in Clinical Nutrition at UFRJ. In 2019, Karen received the UNEGRO Resistance Award at the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro.
