Joseph Dean Straubhaar, Among Carter Centennial Professor of Communications and Media Studies Director in the Radio-TV-Film Department of the University of Texas at Austin. He was the Director of the Center for Brazilian Studies within the Lozano Long Institute for Latin American Studies. He is also Associate Director for International Programs of the TeleCommunications and Information Policy Institute at the University of Texas.
