Jorge Semião

Jorge Semião graduated in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico - Technical University of Lisbon in 1996, and obtained the Master, in 2001, and the PhD, in 2010, also in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, with specialization in Microelectronics and Electronic and Computer Systems. He started working in research in 1995 at INESC, and now he is a senior researcher at INESC-ID in Lisbon. His main research interests are the design and optimization of digital integrated circuits, the design for testability and the test of electronic circuits, the project of fault-tolerant circuits and the aging of electronic circuits. He participated in several research projects (12), and is the author and co-author of more than 90 scientific articles published, four national patents and four patents still under patent pending. Also obtained awards for "Best INESC-ID PhD student in 2010," for "Best Internship in Electrical Engineering" (awarded by the Ordem dos Engenheiros in 2001), and "Best Teacher in the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering " (EST - University of Algarve, in 1999).
