John Forge

John ForgeJohn Forge is a philosopher who spent his whole academic career in departments of History and Philosophy of Science and Science and Technology Studies, which explains, in part, why his work now focuses on science in its social and political context. The present essay reflects those interests. Forge is the author of The Responsible Scientist, which won a number of prizes. He was originally from England, where he was mostly educated, but attended Cornell in the sixties and has lived and worked in Australia since 1974.
