Filipa M. Ribeiro

Filipa M. RibeiroFilipa M. Ribeiro is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto. She graduated in Journalism and Communication (2003) and after some specialization courses in Genetics and Law (2006), she obtained a Master’s in Sociology and Communication of Science at the University of Aveiro. She has worked in areas like digital media, innovation, and project management. Since 2009, she has been doing research on higher education. She was a member of the Portuguese team in the ESF-funded project Transforming Universities in Europe. Currently, she is the co-principal investigator of the project “Ethical Issues in Conducting Social Network Analysis Research in Health and Educational Settings.” She is a member of the Early Career Higher Education Researchers’ (ECHER) network. Her main topics of research are ubiquitous knowledge and education, sociology of science, social networks, ethics and research, diversity in higher education.
