Christos Troussas

Christos TroussasDr. Christos Troussas is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University of West Attica, Greece. His academic journey includes a PostDoc Researcher role in Software Engineering and Applied Artificial Intelligence at the same Department. He obtained his PhD in Informatics in 2017, a Master of Science degree with a specialization in “Intelligent Technologies of Human-Computer Interaction” in 2010, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics in 2008, from the Department of Informatics at the University of Piraeus, Greece. Throughout his career, Dr. Troussas has actively participated in numerous national and international research projects. He has also served as a member of the Editorial Board for several international journals and has contributed as a Program Committee chair or member for various international conferences. He boasts an extensive publication record with contributions to international journals, books, and conference proceedings. Simultaneously, he has co-authored three monographs in personalized software engineering, artificial intelligence and augmented reality, published by Springer and IOS Press. Dr. Troussas has authored two university textbooks focusing on Object-Oriented Programming and Software Technology and Quality. His academic influence is highlighted by thousands of citations of his work and recognition through best paper awards at international conferences in the field of computer science. His current research interests span personalized software technology, human-computer interaction and applied artificial intelligence. Dr. Troussas is ranked among the world’s top 2% of scientists, according to the Stanford University ranking for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022 (Ioannidis, John P.A. In addition to his role at the University of West Attica, Dr. Troussas holds the position of Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia.
