Amandeep Salhotra

Amandeep Salhotra is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation at City of Hope National Medical Center. His area of interest is in treating patients with hematologic malignancies and improving outcomes in patients post Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation by reducing morbidity associated with acute and chronic graft versus host disease. He completed his basic medical training from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India and subsequently spent a couple of years at Johns Hopkins University doing translational research focusing primarily on molecular pathogenesis of Glioblastoma multiforme and novel imaging techniques using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). His current focus is running Phase I/II clinical trials for patients with hematologic disorders on to improve their clinical outcomes, especially in the relapsed/refractory setting. Outside of the academic setting, he enjoys spending time with his family and visiting new places.
