Ahmad Naqiyuddin Bakar

Ahmad Naqiyuddin Bakar started his career as a lecturer in the Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies in 1999 at UiTM. He graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), received his MA in Public Management from University of Exeter, UK, and obtained his PhD in the field of ICT Policy and Governance at the University of Hull, UK. Upon his returned from his PhD studies in 2008, he became the Coordinator of Monitoring Unit at the Centre for Strategic Planning. In 2010, he was the Head for the Institutional Research at the Centre. In 2012, he was appointed as the Research Fellow at the Centre for Bio-Diversity and Sustainable Development, UiTM. Ahmad Naqiyuddin Bakar is currently heading the Institutional Research – one of the Units under the Strategic Planning and Information (CSPI) Centre, at the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He has been actively involved in attaining research grants within the last five years and presented numerous papers at national and international levels. The author has also published many journal articles and chapters in edited books both locally and internationally.
