Abdul Hamid Saharuddin

Dr A.H Saharuddin is a professor in the Department of Maritime Management, Faculty of Maritime Studies and Marine Science, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. His specialization is in the field of Marine and Environment Developmental Policy as well as Marine Resource Management Policy. He is the founder Dean of this faculty when it was first established in June 2006. He has been the Chairman of the National Action Committee on the Future Direction of Maritime and Marine Science Education and Training under the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Educations. He has attended about 30 international and 45 national level of conferences, seminars, training and workshops as a speaker, resource person, facilitator and invited participant. He has authored and co-authored a total of about more than 100 publications which include proceeding papers, journal papers, chapters in book, monograph, seminar papers and other types of academic publications. He is the Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (FIMarEST), a Chartered Member of Institute of Logistic and Transport Malaysia (CMILT) and a Member of Malaysian Maritime Institute (MIK).
