Dr. Marwan Omar is a renowned figure in the realm of cybersecurity, currently serving as an Associate Professor of Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He earned his Doctorate in Computer Science with a specialization in Digital Systems Security from the Colorado Technical University Institute for Advanced Studies, following a Post-Doctoral Degree in Information Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity from the University of Fernando Pessoa, Porto, Portugal. Dr. Omar's illustrious academic career is dedicated to the applied, industry-relevant domains of cybersecurity, data analytics, machine learning, and the application of AI in cybersecurity and digital forensics. His unique blend of industry experience and a profound commitment to teaching across diverse cultures and geographies sets him apart. Dr. Omar has made significant contributions to the field through a robust research portfolio, as highlighted by his extensive list of publications, which includes books, journal articles, and conference papers that address critical issues in cybersecurity and digital forensics. With over 598 citations to his credit, Dr. Omar's work is widely recognized and respected among academics and industry professionals alike. He is also deeply involved in curriculum development and assessment, ensuring that the next generation of cybersecurity experts is well-equipped to tackle emerging challenges in the field.
Hewa Majeed Zangana is an Iraqi lecturer and assistant professor in computer science and information technology. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Nawroz University, a Master's degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia, and an Honorary Doctorate from the British Accreditation EB - JAS, and currently studying PhD of ITM at DPU. With expertise in network systems and teaching experience, Hewa has taught various subjects and held positions such as Curriculum Division Director and Head of the Computer Science Department at Nawroz University. He has also published research articles in prestigious journals and presented at conferences.
