The edited book titled “Security Issues and Privacy Threats in Ubiquitous Computing (SIPTUC) " presents emerging research in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and ubiquitous computing.
Recent developments in the use of tiny and smart devices and ubiquitous environment, the Internet technologies have been used widely. The emergence of these technologies and devices has led to communication and processing on a massive scale between user-user, machine to machine and user-machine.
The promising state of the art and future of IoT and ubiquitous computing motivated us to propose this book which will focus on various aspects of the IoT and ubiquitous computing like privacy, security threats, identity management of diverse devices, trust management and access control in ubiquitous computing.
The aim of this book is to report advances in the field of IoT and the ubiquitous computing that includes the theory, concepts, applications.
Also, the book aims to present mechanisms of privacy and security management, which can be helpful to researchers, professionals, and practitioners from Government, Industry and Academia.
The proposed book is an effort to cover IoT with ubiquitous computing, related technologies and common issues in adopting IoT in ubiquitous computing at large scale. It will cover recent technological advances and novel contributions to the security issues in ubiquitous computing. Moreover, this book will provide a detailed discussion of IdM, privacy, security and trust management of IoT and underlying technologies in critical aforementioned application areas.


The specific contributions of this book will be targeted to focus on IoT and ubiquitous computing with privacy and security mechanisms and machine learning concepts. This unique combination is the need of an hour and it will help the researchers to see the latest issues, trends, challenges, and appropriate solutions.

This book will extend the work/outlets from introduction of Internet of Things to security aspects of IoT. This uniqueness of this book is the combination of important fields like the Internet of things and ubiquitous Computing. Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original empirical research articles 5,000-7,000 words in length. Interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by no fewer than 3 members of the Editorial Review Board and 1 Associate Editor. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
