Two IGI Global Titles Receive Awards

picture of gold medalJune 8, 2017, Hershey, PA – IGI Global is pleased to announce that the Psychological and Pedagogical Considerations in Digital Textbook Use and Development recently received a Diploma and Gold Medal at the 2017 European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation Conference (Euroinvent), which was held at the Palace of Culture on May 25-27, 2017. Also, the Handbook of Research on Applied Learning Theory and Design in Modern Education recently received a Diploma and Silver Medal at the same event.

Euroinvent is held in Iasi, Romania, which is the largest city in Eastern Europe. The aim of the event is to promote creativity and innovation on a global scale, and this event also serves as a platform for inventors, researchers, engineers and scientists to share their innovative research with other respectable academicians.

picture of silver medal The Psychological and Pedagogical Considerations in Digital Textbook Use and Development, edited by Elena Railean (University of European Studies, Republic of Moldova & Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Republic of Moldova), offers balanced coverage of the technological solutions that contribute to the design of digital textbooks and contribute to achieving learning objectives. With an emphasis on assessment mechanisms and learning theory, this book is a critical reference for educators, theorists, publishers, and designers in the digital age.

The Handbook of Research on Applied Learning Theory and Design in Modern Education, edited by Elena Railean (European University of Moldova, Moldova), Gabriela Walker (University of South Dakota, USA), Atilla Elçi (Aksaray University, Turkey) and Liz Jackson (University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong), provides international perspectives from education professors and researchers, cyberneticists, psychologists, and instructional designers on the processes and mechanisms of the global learning environment. Highlighting a compendium of trends, strategies, methodologies, technologies, and models of applied learning theory and design, this publication is well-suited to meet the research and practical needs of academics, researchers, teachers, and graduate students as well as curriculum and instructional design professionals.
