BOOK REVIEW:
Description: This book covers the disturbing issue of incivility in the nursing workplace. It includes many case studies, exercises, and a toolkit for working on these issues.
Purpose: The purpose is to address the issue of incivility and its detrimental effects on the nursing profession. This book is definitely needed, and it meets the objectives. The case studies and exercises are excellent and real eye-openers
Assessment: I love this book. I think that all nurses should read this book and take its message to heart. We need to strongly examine the issue of incivility and understand its effect on the nursing force. The case studies, exercises, and, especially, the toolkit provide a wonderful venue for working through this concept. We need to include this book in nursing curriculum and stress its importance in the workplace.
