IGI Global Presented A New Open Access Offset Model Program at 2018 Charleston Conference

As a tenth-year diamond sponsor of the 2018 Charleston Conference, Dr. Mehdi Khosrow-Pour, CEO and President of IGI Global, and Caroline Campbell, Marketing Manager, represented the international academic publisher at the event, and had the opportunity to network and speak with leading librarians, partners, and institutions.

The highlight of the 2018 Charleston Conference for IGI Global's hosted Neapolitan Panel Session, titled “Sustainable Open Access Approached: Benefits for Researchers, Librarians, and Publishers,” which covered IGI Global’s New InfoSci®-Journals Open Access Fee Waiver (Offset Model) Program. Additionally, during the conference, IGI Global awarded the 2018 Academic Librarian Sponsorship to Ms. Melissa Gustafson, E-Resources and Copyright Librarian at Indiana State University. This sponsorship program provided her with a $500 stipend for the attendance of the 2018 Charleston Conference. Applicants of the sponsorship program were asked to write a 250-word essay on how librarians and publishers can advance knowledge management resources. Based on Ms. Gustafson's contributions to the wider academic community including content support for the Library SharePoint portal, multi-disciplinary research, and more, IGI Global was proud to present her with this award.
