IGI Global participates in the 78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management

IGI Global Joins Scholars and Researchers at AOM 2018

By Emily Mistishen on Aug 1, 2018
From August 10-14, IGI Global be at booth #710 at the 78th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago, Illinois. The conference has the theme “Improving Lives,” and will focus on the positive impacts organizations can have on communities and society as a whole. The academic publisher will join industry-leading management researchers and professionals to collaborate with them and identify new trends in business and management. Additionally, they will share new initiatives and contribute to AOM’s mission of “[building] a vibrant and supportive community of scholars by markedly expanding opportunities to connect and explore ideas.”

This year Melissa Wagner, Managing Editor of Acquisitions, and Caroline Campbell, Marketing Manager, will be representing IGI Global. Feel free to stop by booth #710 to speak with them about open access, publishing opportunities, and top-trending business research.

“Every year we look forward to going to the Academy of Management Annual Meeting,” stated Caroline Campbell. “Through this conference we ensure that IGI Global’s resources are made available to the wider business community and learn about up-and-coming trends within business research.”

IGI Global will be sharing their open access opportunities available through their new Open Access Fee Waiver Initiative. For any library that invests in an IGI Global journal database, IGI Global will match the library’s investment with a fund of equal value to go toward subsidizing the open access article processing charge (APC) for their students, faculty, and staff at that institution when their work is submitted and accepted under open access into an IGI Global journal housed within that collection.* Researchers interested in taking advantage of this opportunity can stop by the booth, or recommend InfoSci®-Journals to their institution’s librarian.

In addition to their Open Access Initiative, IGI Global representatives will be sharing their publishing opportunities for researchers in business, management, and other fields. Having been a prominent academic publisher for 30 years, IGI Global strives to offer authors and editors a seamless publishing experience by aiding in the conceptualization, development, production, marketing, and distribution of their research. With personalized one-on-one care, expeditious publishing process, supportive technologies, sound ethical practice, and a desire to disseminate research worldwide sets IGI Global apart as a distinguished and reputable publishing house. The academic publisher will also showcase their new business publications in the InfoSci-Business and Management subject database. With over 1,240 e-books focusing on all aspects of business, IGI Global’s business and management database offers an important collection of emerging research encompassing operations and service management, human resources management, global business, and other core topic areas.
