IGI Global is proud to announce new Editor-in-Chiefs for two of their progressive research journals. Brock Dubbels of McMaster University, Canada, has been announced as the new Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Gaming and Computer-Mediated Simulations (IJGCMS), and Dr. Weiqi Yan of Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, will be heading the International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics (IJDCF).

International Journal of Gaming and Computer-Mediated Simulations (IJGCMS) Brock Dubbels has worked as a Fulbright Scholar at the Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology in Psychology; as in NIH Berman Fellow, at Xerox PARC and Oracle, and as a research associate at the Center for Cognitive Science at the University of Minnesota. He specializes in game-related development and research on comprehension, problem solving, and cultural cognition. He develops serious games, persuasive technology, and health interventions.

He teaches course work on games and cognition, user experience research, UI/UX, and how learning research can improve game design for return on investment (ROI). He is also the founder and principal learning architect at www.vgalt.com for design, production, user research, and evaluation of learning systems as games. He is also the founder of the Coder Dojo in Hamilton, Ontario, providing young people instruction to learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more (http://hammertowncoderdojo.org/). Brock Dubbels is currently a post-doctoral researcher at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. His appointment includes work on game design and user experience research.

Brock is the new Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Gaming and Computer-Mediated Simulations (IJGCMS), a peer-reviewed, international journal devoted to the theoretical and empirical understanding of electronic games and computer-mediated simulations. The journal is interdisciplinary in nature; it publishes research from fields and disciplines that share the goal of improving the foundational knowledge base of games and simulations. The journal publishes critical theoretical manuscripts as well as qualitative and quantitative research studies, meta-analyses, and methodologically-sound case studies. The journal also includes book reviews to keep readers on the forefront of this continuously evolving field. Occasional special issues from the journal provide deeper investigation into areas of interest within either gaming or simulations. View a sample issue of IJGCMS here.

International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics (IJDCF)Dr. Weiqi Yan is a senior lecturer at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. His research areas include intelligent forensics, intelligent surveillance, intelligent network and computing security, with publications that covered the majority of journals and conferences within his research area. Dr. Yan has supervised over 100 students including research visitors/postdoctoral fellows, he is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), a senior member of the IEEE, TC members of the IEEE, a member of the ACM, and a associate editor of two international journals. Dr Yan's TPC services covered the major conferences of his research area. Dr. Yan is also a guest professor with PhD supervision of the State Key Laboratory of Information Security (SKLOIS) China. Dr Yan has long-standing collaborations with those world famous computer scientists from USA, UK, Singapore, China.

Weiqui Yan is Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics (IJDCF), which provides state-of-the-art coverage in the development of legal evidence found in computers and electronic storage mediums. IJDCF addresses the use of electronic devices and software for crime prevention, investigation, and the application of a broad spectrum of sciences to answer questions of interest to the legal system. This fully refereed journal contains high quality theoretical and empirical research articles, research reviews, case studies, book reviews, tutorials, and editorials in this field.
