Mission and Scope

The International Journal of Cyber Research and Education (IJCRE) publishes empirical research that enhances insight and contributes to the better understanding of matters pertaining to the advancement of cyber security, cybercrime, digital evidence, forensics and forensic science and technologies, and law enforcement in a digital world. All empirical methods include qualitative, quantitative, field, laboratory, and mixed methods are encouraged. In order to be published in IJCRE, a manuscript must make a strong experiential and theoretical contribution and highlight the significance of those contributions to the field of cyber and law enforcement. Thus, preferential consideration will be given to submissions that test, extend, or build strong theoretical frameworks while critically examining issues with high importance for best practice, heightened awareness, and innovative solutions. IJCRE is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic rigor. As one of the important aims of this journal is to increase the use and impact of knowledge as well as increasing the visibility of scientific materials, IJCRE does not charge contributors for any review or publication fee for accepting or publishing their materials in the journal.

Researchers and practitioners in the sectors of academia, government, corporate, and law enforcement are invited to submit their original empirical research articles 3,000–5,000 words in length. Interested authors must consult the journal’s guidelines for manuscript submissions at prior to submission. All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by no fewer than three members of the journal’s Editorial Review Board and one Associate Editor. Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
