Editor/Author Biographies

Sangeeta Dhamdhere is a Library professional from India having a more than 19 years of experience in Library and Information Science. She has been instrumental in installing top-class Library and Information management practices in a number of places and in her current role as the Chief Librarian of Modern College in Pune (India), she constantly strives to find and optimize newer and newer ways of segregating and delivering information to her users. She completed her Masters in Library and Information Science from University of Pune and has cleared both, the National and State level Eligibility Tests for Lecturership in Libraries and Information Science. She has also picked up a couple of computing, etc. diplomas on the way and is adept at using computers to her advantage. She has got Scholarship for International training Programme on “Scientific and Technological Information Management in Universities and Libraries” Sponsored by the Belgium Government and Vrije University, Brussels, Belgium for the Period 1st October 2008 to 19th December, 2008 and again for three weeks workshop on E-Discovery Tools in December 2015 at Antwerp University. She has completed her PhD in Library Science at Nagpur University in July 2018 and recipient of couple of awards in academic field. She has very good experience of library automation and digital library software systems. She has guided many bachelor and masters students for library related projects and is an active member of various library communities and various associations. She has completed two assignments for BIREME, Doc-Biblios, UNESCO and one research project sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University. She is recipient of three national and three International Awards. She has travelled many countries for her academic assignments and study like USA, Europe, Japan, UAE, China. She has published and presented more than 55 research publications at national and International level in conferences, seminars and reputed peer reviewed journals and edited two book and one National Seminar proceedings namely “Cloud Computing and Visualization Technologies in Libraries” and “E-Discovery tools and applications in modern libraries” published by IGI Global, USA and National seminar proceedings on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and Research Ethics-2020, sponsored by ICSSR, New Delhi.. She is also author of two books namely ” Knowledge Management in Indian Higher Education System: Strategies, Processes and Planning, published by Lap Lambert Publishing, Germany and “Web-based services: a transforming revolution in modern libraries” by ESS ESS Publications, New Delhi. She is Chief editor of “Granthavedh” Library E_Newsletter and “Aakanksha” Annual magazine of her college and editorial board member and reviewer of about 14 reputed peer reviewed International Journals in Library Science and Computer Science. Sangeeta is wholly committed to this uplifting task which she calls 'maintaining humanity of humans'. Her mission statement is also “To give maximum information for maximum number of time by maximum number of ways in minimum time”.
