Bhawna Chopra is a distinguished academician and accomplished researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has made significant contributions to the field, with a strong focus on exploring the therapeutic and health-promoting potential of natural compounds. Her educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, affiliated with Kurukshetra University, followed by a Master's degree in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) from ISF College of Pharmacy, affiliated with Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. She completed her Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. She has received honors from various academic bodies, including the Silver Medal in M. Pharmacy and a Gold Medal during B. Pharmacy from Punjab Technical University and Kurukshetra University, respectively. Dr. Chopra's professional journey is marked by her dedication to education and research. She is a Professor in Guru Gobind Singh college of Pharmacy. She has total 15+ years of experience in teaching. Her teaching and research have earned her recognition, including the Women Pharma Personality Award during the National Pharma Summit 2022 in New Delhi, India. She is also an Editorial/Review Board member of various reputed National/International Journals and has been recognized as the Highest Cited Researcher by Elsevier Publishers (Fitoterapia). Dr. Chopra's research contributions have garnered global recognition. She has been invited to serve as a Bentham Ambassador by Bentham Science Publishers. Dr. Chopra's professional achievements extend beyond the classroom and laboratory. She has been an active member of professional organizations such as APTI, ISTE, and SPER. She also has patents and copyrights to her credit.
Ashwani Kumar is presently working as Principal, Global Research Institute of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar. Professionally, he is a Medicinal Chemist with expertise in the design and development of synthetic methodologies dealing with various organic transformations, multistep synthesis of medicinally active heterocyclics along with bioactive natural product analogs. He has done PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from IKGPTU University, Jalandhar and M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from ISF College of Pharmacy affiliated to PTU, Jalandhar. He is an alumnus of GGSCOP, Yamuna Nagar at graduate level. He has 15+ years of teaching experience. His expertise in the Computer Aided Drug Design, Analytical Method Development and Validation; Natural Product Chemistry, Formulation Development using NDDS field enabled him to conduct research in areas of diverse nature. His research areas include like molecular docking, pharmacophore modelling, virtual screening, pharmaceutical quality control, pharmaceutical technology and synthesis of medicinally active compounds. His expertise is simply recognized by the fact that he is acting as referee for review of manuscripts for large number of international journals of repute. He has more than 90 research/review publications - most of them in international journals of repute to his credit in addition to 06 books with international Publishers, 08 patent (Design), 05 patents (Formulation) and 11 copyrights. He is a recipient of project grant (Rs. 7,00,000/-) under MSME Innovative Scheme (Incubation, Design & IPR) in 2022; Training grant (Rs. 50,000/-) from Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi under PCI CBIT Scheme in 2021 and Conference grant (Rs. 20,000/-) from Patent Felicitation Centre, HSCST, DST, Govt. of Haryana for conducting one day national workshop on Patents filing procedure for students and small-scale industries in 2019.He is honored asLate Prof. (Dr.) M. L. Shroff “Pharma Recognition Award” by PharmaLok (NGO), New Delhi in 2022; Innovational Ambassador (Design Thinking & Innovation) by MHRD Innovational Cell, AICTE, New Delhi in 2021; Bentham Ambassador (2022-23, 2020-2021, 2019-20) by Bentham Science Publishers; e-certificate for Highly Cited Research in Fitoterapia by Elsevier in 2016.He is Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (LM - 136464); Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers in India (HA/LM-153); Education Research and Development Association (ERDA/INDLM/792/1223) and Society for Research Development in Health Sciences (SRDHS/11).He has delivered more than 20 guest talks on various topics of healthcare domain in collaboration with different Government and Non-government organizations.
Priyanka Kriplani ispresently working as Professor in Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar. Her field of specialization is Pharmaceutics. She has done PhD from I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and has done her M.pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Rajiv Academy for Pharmacy, Mathura and B. Pharmacy from Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamunanagar. Her research areas include Pulsatile Drug Delivery system and Transdermal Drug delivery system, Novel Herbal Drug delivery system. She has 13 years of experience in teaching at Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy. Before joining this institute, she has worked as Assistant Professor in Chaudhary Devi Lal College of Pharmacy, Yamunanagar. She has 45 research/review publications in journals, 7 design patents, 6 book chapters and 8 copyrights to her credit. She has participated in more than 35 National/International seminars/conferences/workshops as a delegate and also actively participated as Member of organizing committee in various seminars, conferences and workshops.Presently, she is also Fellow/Life member of 2 scientific societiesi.e. Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India and Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association, New Delhi.She is admission in-charge of the college and Member of NBA and IQAC. She also receives an appreciation from Wiley for one of the top downloaded articles 2016-17.
Ritu Ojha is a highly accomplished medicinal chemist with extensive experience in both academia and industry. With over seven years of dedicated involvement in the field, she has made significant contributions through her research, teaching, and consulting endeavors.Dr. Ojha earned her Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Taipei Medical University, Taiwan, where she conducted her research from 2014 to 2018. Prior to this, she completed her Masters of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Analysis at ISF College of Pharmacy, Punjab Technical University, India, from 2009 to 2011. She began her academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology & Science, affiliated with Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, India, from 2005 to 2009. During her career, Dr. Ojha has held significant positions in various organizations. She served as a Scientific Advisor at Neovation Consultancy Services, Singapore, from April 2022 to August 2023. Previously, she worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan, from 2019 to 2020. Dr. Ojha's research has primarily focused on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of small molecule anticancer agents. Her work has played a pivotal role in developing innovative therapeutic strategies for combating cancer. Throughout her academic journey, Dr. Ojha has received recognition for her outstanding contributions. She was awarded the 2nd Prize for Oral Presentation at the PST Medicinal Chemistry Symposium, Taiwan, in 2017, and the Outstanding Ph.D. Researcher Award from the School of Pharmacy at Taipei Medical University in 2015. Additionally, she achieved the distinction of being a Gold Medalist in Masters of Pharmacy from Punjab Technical University, India, in 2011. Dr. Ojha possesses expertise in a variety of areas including Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Synthesis, Bioassay Techniques, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Scientific Writing and Presentation, and Project Management. Her diverse skill set and unwavering dedication continue to drive advancements in the field of medicinal chemistry.
