Ugur Sadioglu

Ugur Sadioglu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Hacettepe University in Ankara-Turkey. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of Local Governments Application and Research Centre of the same University and the Vice-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Hacettepe University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He studied political science and public administration at Hacettepe University (BSc-2006). He was a visiting researcher at Duisburg-Essen University-Germany (as a part of Erasmus&Socrates Exchange Programme and by the scholarship of The Council of Higher Education) from 2008 to 2010. He received his PhD degree in comparision of local government reform process in Turkey and Germany from Hacettepe University in 2012. He was a visiting fellow at University of Cologne-Germany, Cologne Center for Comparative Politics between 2015 and 2016. He has been a member of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences since 2006. His research interests are public administration theory, new trends in public administration, local government and politics, urban policy and affairs, decentralization, e-government and development studies. He acted as a researcher on various administrative reform projects in Turkey and Germany. His three books were published in the area of local government. He recently presented many papers in national and international conferences and published in national and international journals extensively on local governments and administrative reform outcomes in Turkey.
