Introduction

The qualitative research orientation needs a shift to internalizing onto-epistemological pluralism by focusing on knowledge exploration where a researcher embraces “inseparability of ethics, ontology and knowledge” (Barad, 2007). In this sense, post/qualitative research acknowledges theory for energizing catalyst role for engaging in methodological process, but not creating a boundary for generating meaning (Lather, 2108). Lather explains the dimension as post/qualitative research, in which research is not limited to the methodological guide but envisioned as a methodology to come. Similarly, post-qualitative research emerges from critique of representational logic by leading to a non-representational inquiry. Stewart et al. (2020) point out the need of linguistic turn in interpretive inquiry of lived experiences as Delueze’s notion of sense, in which non-representational aspects of human agency are explored through sense-making approach as a post/qualitative inquiry. In this regard, the book's chapters investigate the possibilities of dialogical and dialectical interactional texturing of discourse and practice in recent trends of qualitative research.

Objective

This book provides key insights for post-qualitative researchers with its critical perspectives for contextually relevant research practices. The process becomes important for qualitative researchers with the postmodern understanding of human life and society. It could bring perspectival shifts as it looks at the human world with multimodal approaches of inquiry. It incorporates indigenous knowledge system and gets beyond research imperialism where fixities of qualitative norms remain ever-changing in the process of the inquiry since the researcher, the researched and the living world have relational values. This book creates a scope for relational dimension of post-qualitative inquiry sustaining critical-reflexivity in the inquiry. Besides, This book will provide educators and researchers with practical strategies, insights, and best practices for adopting post-qualitative dynamics of research inquiry. It will also help researchers cope with the changing nature of qualitative research by introducing methodological innovations.

Target Audience

This book is intended for educators, faculty members, researchers, and learners to serve as a valuable resource enhancing their understanding of post-qualitative research values and ethics.

Recommended Topics

Onto-epistemological dimension of post/qualitative inquiry. Indigenous knowledge induced research methodology. Multimodality in exploring living world Insights from living and lived experiences for researcher Decolonizing research paradigms for post/qualitative knowledge inquiry Critical reflexivity and thick description in meaning making Critical reader and writer as post/qualitative researcher Eastern philosophical world-views for post/qualitative inquiry Evolving quality standards and ethical considerations.
