Introduction

Employee shareholding has become an increasingly relevant subject in the contemporary economic landscape, offering a multitude of advantages to both employees and companies. In this edited volume, we aim to explore the multiple dimensions of employee ownership by conducting an in-depth exploration of its various facets, with a particular focus on its integration with corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. Employee ownership not only aligns the interests of employees with those of the company but can also have significant implications for corporate governance, particularly in decision-making processes and accountability mechanisms.
