Aniket Mahanti

Dr. Aniket Mahanti is a researcher, educator, and award-winning author who brings over 15 years of experience designing, measuring, analyzing, and modelling complex distributed systems. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer (Rest of the world: Associate Professor) of Computer Science at The University of Auckland. He received his doctorate in computer science from the University of Calgary, Canada, in 2012. Between 2006 and 2008, he worked as a Research Associate with the Computer Networks group at the University of Calgary. His expertise spans multiple domains such as computer science, social sciences, and business. His post-secondary education was fully funded by prestigious scholarships like the national Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS), and the provincial Alberta Innovates Technology Futures (AITF) graduate student scholarship. He received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Agriculture (SSA) 2021. His area of interest is social computing, performance evaluation, data science and cyber security.
